performance art

I offer over a decade of experience making people put their phones down, stand at attention, and ask themselves, "What the f*** am I looking at?" I have cultivated a unique style that often calls upon elements of burlesque, sideshow, and lo-fi theatrical production. I am punctual, work hard to provide a quality product, promote, and communicate effectively - I expect the same from any booker... or else, as Dr. Dooom once said, "Of course I'm hard to work with, cuz you hard to work with."

You will find no separation between my work as an "entertainer" and my work as a "conceptual artist". The line is vague at best, and the central notion of my work is to further obscure it.

"I Was a Teenage Were-Whore" is the piece I have performed the most times. Originally done in Chicago circa 2010, this marked the dawn of my style of aggrivated, delusory storytelling that calls upon elements of burlesque, sideshow, and lo-fi theatrical production. It focuses around externalizing an instance of internal clash between the raw desire of curiosity and strict "moral" societal boundaries set down around many young women. Visually it relies on imagery from Catholic schooling to clearly communicate a feeling in a way that is accessible and legible to the maximum amount of its target audience.

"Paradise? Lost?" Is another piece that has existed in several incarnations. It is an eight minute long, three act play. It explores romance, loss, attachment, and the way in which memories can become embellished around painful events. In 2017 this was used as the framework for the first installation of my production "Total Eclipse of the Arts" and the acts were used as the beginning, post intermission, and end of the hour long production that was written around five more pieces brought to the table by other artists.

"Invocation for the New Creative Aeon" was a collabrative curse with Courtney Crimson, and Rev. Steven Johnson Leyba.

"Holidaze" is a cathartic exploration of childhood trauma around christian winter holidays.

"Falling from..." is another 7 minute 3 act play that explores the potential of one failing or misstep, without a functioning safety net, to derail an entire life. This was also utilized as the framework for my second production of Total Eclipse of the Arts: The Downward Spiral Syndrome.
